ASD Award 2016
Istanbul, October 2016 - Award ceremony of Crescent and Stars for Packaging Contest organized by Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD) for 7th time this year was realized in Shangri- La Bosphorus Hotel at night of September 23rd. Mondi Tire Kutsan, one of important suppliers of corrugated cardboard packing sector in Turkey and one of 500 biggest industrial organizations has become the holder of 2 different awards in 2 different categories in Crescent and Stars of Packing Contest.
Mondi Tire Kutsan has become the owner of Silver Award in Sales Point Display, Presentation and Maintenance Products Category with “Queen Display”, and Competency Award in Packaing Materials and Components Category with “Flap Separator” in the most important competition of packing sector where the products launched by several packaging manufacturers, brand holder and designer from Turkey and abroad were evaluated.
Queen Display, is an innovative and environment friendly design addressing floriculture sector preventing damage of flowers during shipment while at the same time enabling display of flowers at sales point. By means of this packaging solution fulfilling two different functions with a single design, it is aimed to eliminate flower waste experienced during shipment by using 51% less material.
Flap Separator, an easy to install separator solution compared to equivalents, intended to transport fragile primary packages like bottles in a box without contacting to each other protects primary packaging and the product in it during transportation. Flap Separator, a fully environment-friendly packaging solution reduces release of carbon dioxide at a rate of 63% due to use of less paper.
