Dividends
Mondi's dividend policy reflects our disciplined strategy and aims to offer shareholders long-term dividend growth in line with our cover policy.
Key dividend information
The Group will target a dividend cover range of two to three times on average over the cycle, although the payout ratio in each year will vary in accordance with the business cycle. The payment of dividends will be conditional on the Group having sufficient distributable reserves.
Ordinary dividends paid by Mondi plc will generally be paid in euros.
The directors intend that the final and interim dividends will generally be paid in May and September in the approximate proportions of two-thirds (final dividend) and one-third (interim dividend).
Currency
All dividends are declared in euro but are paid in the following currencies:
- Mondi plc - euro
- Mondi plc (UK residents) - pounds sterling
- Mondi plc (South African residents) - South African rand
Mondi plc shareholders on the UK register resident in the UK may elect to receive their dividends in euro.
Mondi plc shareholders on the UK register resident outside the UK may elect to receive their dividends in pounds sterling.
Mondi plc shareholders on the UK register wishing to elect to receive their dividends in an alternative currency should contact Equiniti using the details provided.
Method of payment
Mondi encourages shareholders to have their dividends paid directly into their bank accounts. This means that the dividend will reach your bank accounts more securely and on the payment date without the inconvenience of depositing a cheque.
Mondi plc shareholders on the South African branch register
Mondi plc shareholders on the South African branch register may only set up a bank mandate if they have a South African bank account.
Those shareholders with a South African bank account wishing to set up a mandate should complete the Bank Mandate form which can be downloaded from our Shareholder Administration page for Mondi plc shareholders on the South African branch register.
Shareholders without a South African bank account may like to consider dematerialising their shares with a Central Securities Depository Participant (CSDP) in South Africa as they are often able to pay dividends into foreign banks.
By dematerialising your shares you will be surrendering your share certificate in order to hold your shares electronically. In South Africa, electronic shares are held by a CSDP such as JSE Investor Services.

Mondi plc shareholders
Shareholders can arrange for their GBP or Euro dividends to be paid directly into their bank or building society account, you can download and complete the relevant form from www.shareview.co.uk/info/directdividends
If shareholders hold 2,500 shares or less they can call Equiniti to update their details over the phone, or arrange for a mandate form to be posted to them.
Overseas Payment Service
Shareholders outside the UK may be able to take advantage of the Overseas Payment Service offered by Equiniti. The service can convert the dividend into the local currency and pay it quickly and securely into the shareholder’s bank account.

Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRIP)
The dividend reinvestment plans provide an opportunity for shareholders to have their Mondi plc cash dividends reinvested in Mondi plc ordinary shares.
The plans are available to all Mondi plc ordinary shareholders (excluding those in certain restricted jurisdictions). Please note that fees may apply.
Mondi plc shareholders on the South African branch register
Mondi plc shareholders on the South African branch register who are eligible should read the applicable DRIP terms and conditions and complete the relevant DRIP application form which can be found on the Shareholder Administration page for Mondi plc shareholders on the South African branch register.
Please note, Mondi plc shareholders on the South African branch register resident in the US or Canada cannot participate in the DRIP. However, an underlying or beneficial shareholder holding their shares in dematerialised form should contact their broker or CSDP to see if they can participate on their behalf. It is the responsibility of the individual joining the DRIP to ensure that any local tax or legal obligations are complied with.

Mondi plc shareholders
Mondi plc shareholders in the UK are eligible for the dividend reinvestment plan (DRIP). Mondi plc shareholders in certain countries located outside the UK may also be able to participate.
Please note DRIP is NOT available to Mondi plc shareholders on the UK register resident in the United States, Canada, Pakistan, India or China due to governmental/regulatory obligations in those jurisdictions. Institutional investors wishing to offer DRIP to their underlying investors (including those resident in the aforementioned countries) should seek legal advice to satisfy themselves that they have the necessary permissions to meet all the necessary governmental/regulatory obligations in the jurisdictions where the underlying investors are resident.

Taxation
Mondi is unable to advise shareholders on taxation. Your tax obligations will vary depending on your jurisdiction and financial circumstances. With regards to your Mondi shareholding, we recommend all shareholders maintain records of dividend payments, share purchases and sales. A dividend confirmation will be sent with all dividend payments. For further assistance, please speak to an independent professional tax or financial adviser.
Current dividend payment information
An interim dividend of 23.33 euro cents per ordinary share was paid on Friday 27 September 2024 to shareholders on the register of Mondi plc on 23 August 2024.
