Pascal is currently training to become a warehouse logistics specialist with us. In an interview, we asked him about his training at Mondi.
Interview
Introduce yourself
I am Pascal, 21 years old and have been training to become a warehouse logistics specialist since September 2021. My hobbies include playing football and walking.
Why did you apply to Mondi?
Pascal: I wanted to train as a warehouse logistics specialist when Mondi Bad Rappenau was suggested to me. Since I always wanted to go into the industry anyway, it was a perfect fit.
Which department or activity do you like the most so far?
Pascal: I love when you have an order in front of you and have to put it together.
Which of our benefits do you think are the best?
Pascal: That there are always gifts for the holidays (Christmas, Easter) and vacation and Christmas bonuses.
What do you like about the Mondi Bad Rappenau location?
Pascal: What I think is particularly cool here is that there are very fast communication channels. Planning your vacation is easy and you get a direct answer. Another advantage here is that we have plenty of food options nearby.
How was your interview? Do you have any tips for applicants?
Pascal: My interview was very relaxed. The tip I can give you is that good preparation is very important. I wouldn't go into the conversation wearing sweatpants or a hoodie either. You should also know why you want to do this exact job.
Which vocational school do you attend and what requirements do you have to meet for the vocational school?
Pascal: I go to the Andreas Schneider School in Heilbronn and have one and a half days of school per week. However, the school days vary depending on the year of training. Math knowledge would be an advantage and a general willingness to learn would be an advantage.
What requirements do you need to have a good education here?
Pascal: Here you should be motivated and ready to learn a lot. Politeness and willingness to help, especially when dealing with colleagues, is a prerequisite. Just like honesty. It would also be good if you have a driving license and are mobile, as you have half a day at school and the remaining half day at the company.
