Celine is training to become an industrial clerk with us. In an interview, we asked her about her training at Mondi.
Interview
Introduce yourself
Celine: I'm Celine, I'm 19 years old and have been training as an industrial clerk since September 2021. My hobbies include playing football and going to the gym.
Why did you apply to Mondi?
Celine: Mondi is just around the corner from me and that's why I already knew the company. I wanted to pursue this profession because with this training you get to know a lot of areas and generally because of the diversity in the commercial area.
Which department/activity do you like the most so far?
Celine: I thought technical purchasing was great because you learned not only commercial but also technical knowledge. I really enjoyed the planning because I had great contacts there and the tasks were very diverse. And the laboratory also convinced me because the test procedures were very interesting. I also tracked the process from paper to the finished packaging there.
Which of our benefits do you think are the best?
Celine: I like having flexitime and being able to use overtime as free time. This way you can build up an extra day off. It's also very cool that we don't have any company holidays here. This means I can decide freely and flexibly when I want to take vacation.
What do you like about the Mondi Bad Rappenau location?
Celine: I really enjoyed the summer festival this year. In general, I also like the way we interact with each other and that my trainer always has time for me.
How was your interview? Do you have any tips for applicants?
Celine: My conversation was very pleasant. However, you should bring knowledge and information about Mondi and find out about the location, but also have information about the group. You should also know why exactly you want to do the job and find out about the job in advance.
Which vocational school do you attend and what requirements do you have to meet for the vocational school?
Celine: I go to the Andreas Schneider School in Heilbronn and have one and a half days of school a week. It would be great for school if you enjoy giving presentations and also know English. You should also have an economic interest, as you need that in this job. Like in accounting, for example - at school you have the subject of management and control.
What requirements do you need to have a good education here?
Celine: You should always treat other colleagues with respect and be helpful. It would also be an advantage if you are open to new things and have a driving license.
