Your mission:

The Senior National Key Account Manager Central Europe (f/m/x) plays a pivotal role in leading the key account management team, driving sales, and maintaining strong relationships with major clients in the region.
(This position will report to the Sales Director Central Europe)

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Key Account Managers (KAMs) across the country.
  • Develop and execute key account strategies aligned with company goals to drive growth and profitability.
  • Collaborate with senior management to set sales targets and business objectives.
  • Support the NKAM team in building and maintaining long-term relationships with national key accounts, ensuring high customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Manage own Key Account portfolio.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for upselling and cross-selling corrugated packaging solutions.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key clients to assess needs and performance.
  • Drive the achievement of sales targets and KPIs for the key accounts division.
  • Monitor sales metrics and analyze market trends to adjust strategies proactively.
  • Develop a solid pipeline of NKA customers in CE region,
  • Drive effective lead and pipeline management, to deliver on the targets.
  • Explore new market opportunities and expand the company's NKA customer base.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and customer needs to inform business strategies.
  • Work closely with the marketing, product development, and operations teams to align efforts and deliver value to key accounts.
  • Provide feedback from clients to inform product improvements and service enhancements.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for senior management.
  • Analyze customer data and market intelligence to inform decision-making.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7–10 years of experience in sales/key account management, with at least 3 years in a sales leadership role within the corrugated packaging or related packaging industry.
  • Proven track record of managing national accounts and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking with a customer-centric approach.
  • Resilience in internal stakeholder management.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Technical knowledge of corrugated packaging products and manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
  • Language: Being fluent in English and German
  • Willigness to travel more than 50% within the region.
