Regional Manager Safety, Health and Environment Central Europe (m/w/d)

Your mission:

• Provide strategic direction and support to regional and plant Safety, Health and Environmental related activities to ensure compliance with local, governmental, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and Mondi regulations, supporting the Business Segment (BU) SHE Manager where required.
• Coordinate, participate and present SHE topics, including different initiatives, activities, threats etc. with Regional MD & Business Segment SHE Manager, while collaborating with the SHE networks and working groups throughout.
• Support the plants with risk assessments, contractor safety management, management of change, standardizing processes and exchange of good practices.
• Provide continuous training and coaching to develop the safety culture in line with Mondi’s social psychology of risk approach during site visits.
• Conduct regular visits to plants in the region while covering audits, status visits, incident investigation, trainings such as initiation of new plant SHE Coordinators and MDs, coaching, etc.
• Support the plants in environmental topics, such as reporting, auditing, data accuracy and incident investigation.
• Challenge and advise the management to achieve the Mondi Safety & Health and environmental indicators.
• Be contact person with local authorities regarding SHE activities.
• Be functional manager to local SHE managers of plants.
• Develop and review Mondi standards, like Practice Notes, CBUM’s & support documents.

Your profile:

• University degree in Safety, Health and Environmental / Engineering degree.
• Welcomed NEBOSH general certificate in combination with a general degree.
• Welcomed sustainable development risk management qualification.
• Knowledge of relevant local legislations, or ISO 45001/14001 standards are mandatory. 
• 5+ years of experience in leading and working as SHE Specialist in a manufacturing environment.
• Confidence to interact with stakeholders at all levels, excellent communication, interpersonal and multi-cultural skills.
• Hands-on mentality with the ability to empower people, set objectives, and achieve results. 
• Willingness to travel in the region (DE, AT, CZ) and Europe on a regular basis.
• Agile and curious mindset, good technical understanding, effective and transparent communication, analytical mindset and solution-oriented attitude.
• Fluent in German and English as a must have, Czech would be a plus.
