Regional Operations Director Central Europe (f/m/x)

Your mission:  

• Develop and manage the regional CAPEX investment strategy in alignment with the segment strategy, ensuring that projects align with business objectives, enhance operational capabilities, and deliver measurable returns. 
• Support the procurement, installation, and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring projects are completed on-time and on-budget. 
• Implement strategies for sustainable equipment upgrades and preventive maintenance to extend asset lifecycles and reduce downtime, together with plant responsible. 
• Drive the implementation of automation and Industry 4.0 solutions (e.g., robotics, AI, IoT) across plants to streamline production processes and reduce reliance on manual labour. 
• Lead initiatives to increase Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) across all sites by improving equipment uptime, performance, and product quality. 
• Develop and implement together with Regional CI Manager productivity enhancements, waste reduction, and cost savings initiatives. 
• Foster a data-driven culture in newly acquired plants, encouraging the use of real-time performance data, analytics, and KPIs to guide decision-making at all levels of the operation. 
• Collaborate with technology teams to integrate new innovative smart systems that enable real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and autonomous operations. 
• Ensure that all operations comply with internal and external safety, environment, and health regulations as well as quality standards. 
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to ensure the development and continuous improvement of skills and capabilities within the technical teams. 

Your profile:  

• 10+ years in technical operations, plant management, and manufacturing technology within the corrugated packaging or in other process manufacturing industry. 
• Proven track record of driving process reengineering, eliminating bottlenecks, and enhancing productivity & OEE that result in substantial cost reductions. 
• Experience in functionally managing multiple plants across a region or country, with a focus on streamlining processes, improving communication, and ensuring consistency in operations and quality standards. 
• Driving initiatives that reduce labour costs through the introduction of automation, digitalisation, and more efficient workflows, while maintaining or improving quality levels. 
• Possesses a strong leadership presence, with a focus on influencing positively and staying connected within a matrix organisation. 
• KPI driven mindset in combination with adaptive communication style. 
• Commitment to maintaining a strong on-site presence at operations within the Central Europe (CE) region.
