Your mission:

  • Execute key strategic projects; from conceptual phase, planning phase and execution phase
  • Implement contracting concepts that can be beneficial to Mondi and surrounding industries.
  • Engage, Audit and identify key areas of improvement in local engineering companies
  • Coordinating and recording activities relating to project planning coordination, monitoring and evaluation of projects
  • Management of mill wide major shuts incl safety, Environment, Quality, Planning & execution
  • Accurate progress / status reporting of major shuts, KPI’s reports & learning reports
  • Analyse data, interpret and record project information
  • Updating systems and procedures regarding statutory requirements in project design and sourcing
  • Prepare documentation and systems for auditing
  • Supply project input into project departmental plans
  • Generating information for reports on projects and project status
  • Have a role in maintaining compliance certificates

Your profile:

  • BSc / B.Tech Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management (PMBOK/ Basic Project Management Principles will be an advantage.
  • Member of ECSA or SACPCMP will be advantageous
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in plant / equipment maintenance in a heavy industrial or manufacturing industry
  • Project management experience
  • Supervisory experience / team leadership experience is required
  • Experience working with SAP, Microsoft Projects, Primavera P6 or other Project Management software will be advantageous
  • Valid South African Drivers license
