Your mission:
- Troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Tracking plant production and OEE and analysing the data and developing solutions
- Materials and stock management
- Shut planning and coordination
- Process safety risk management and quality control
- Assist the Production Manager with people development
- Contractor management
- Ensure continuous improvement and process optimization
- Research and propose potential trials for new processes and/or equipment
- Develop SOPs, BOPs, and WOP and troubleshooting guides(responsibility)
- Provide tools for production team to monitor environmental Impact of the process
- Manage budget and cost deviations (own area)
- Safety, health and environmental risk management
- Assess the environmental impact of production process to comply with legislation and permit limits
- Perform standby duties as required.
- Coordinate gatekeeping meetings (G1, 2 and 3)
- Liaise with maintenance teams to ensure equipment safety and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and other relevant legislation
Your profile:
- BSc Chemical Engineering or equivalent
- Qualification in lean six sigma will be advantageous
- Post Graduate qualification will be advantageous
- Professional affiliation to an accredited body such as IChemE/SAIChE will be advantageous.
- SAP system experience will be advantageous
- PI process book system experience will be advantageous
- South African Driver’s License
- 5 – 10 years’ experience in Process Engineering in a specialist, supervisor or
- management role within the Pulp and Paper Industry.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a supervisory | people management position.
