Your mission:
- Perform specialised technical duties in the operation on plant and equipment related to; fabricate, maintain, service, overhaul, repair, construct, install, dismantle, fit. This will include; manufacturing and repairing instrumentation components according to drawings and specifications(such as flow meters, transmitters and variables such as pressure, consistency, temperature on equipment)
- Perform diagnostic duties by executing actions related to; test, inspect, troubleshoot and fault find, check, measure, record, etc. to achieve outcomes such as reducing downtime, minimize breakdowns, improving availability of plant and equipment. Inspections on instrumentation and electrical systems
- Record technical data on completed work for use in planning system
- Perform maintenance and repair tasks on equipment and machinery in a safe manner according to operating procedures and policy
- Perform and execute preventative maintenance duties
Your profile:
- Secondary Grade 12 or as prescribed for the specific trade as entry level ( grade 10 and /or RPL according to SAQA)
- Qualified trade tested as a Instrumentation mechanician.
- To be familiar with all equipment supplier criteria and compliance requirements to ensure that warranties on vehicles and equipment is maintained
- 2 – 3 years’ experience as an apprentice instrumentation artisan within a manufacturing environment preferably within the pulp and paper industry
- Relevant equipment licenses as required by the operations
- Code 08 / EB License
